Student Led Conferences - Pictures!

We hope that you all enjoyed your time spent in the life of a Grade 1 student! Walking their halls, sitting in their seats (or on the floor!), playing their games, and getting a window into what their days look like. It brought us such joy to see how their faces swelled with pride as they led you around and
showed you what they know.

I tried to sneak around and get pictures of everyone - I'm sure you noticed. . . I wasn't that sneaky! :)

Enjoy!

Lastly, thank you for the feedback that we're receiving on the Reflection papers. We're making notes to make next years' better. We're sorry the time was rushed for the amount of stations. Our time was cut back by an hour this year, compared to last year. Hopefully we can share your feedback with administration, and have a longer time next year :)

Grade 1 Assembly!

Two weeks from today, Grade 1 (both classes) will be in charge of putting on the Junior School Assembly!
We will be trying to incorporate as many things as possible, that the grade 1 students are a part of - in the classroom and outside of the classroom. The theme for the assembly, is based on the verse,

Colossians 3:23

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for people.

We will showcase talents and abilities of the students, while showing how all things can be done to glorify the Lord.

If your child is involved in violin, taekwondo, or ballet, they will be doing a short performance as part of the assembly. If they're involved in more than one, we will probably ask them which one they'd prefer to do. We have made contact with the teachers/coaches of these three programs, and they will be assisting us.

All the students will be involved, but not all will have individual lines. If your child has lines to memorize, we will be sending home a copy of the script next week for them to practice. All the students will also be performing a dance that they've learned to the song, "Every Move I Make", by Hillsong. Ask them to practice if in front of you :) Link below.

All parents of grade 1 students are invited, and ENCOURAGED to come support them. The assembly will be on Firday, 26 of April at 9:45, and will last approximately 30 minutes.
